A fun way to learn
A wonderful range of courses and events
The nursery provides many different courses for varying age groups including basic courses in planting through to the courses that specialise and stimulate the most experienced of gardeners. We also provide pottery workshops, flower arranging/growing, Poultry keeping and children’s activity courses/workshops. The Children’s workshops are aimed to encourage children to not only garden but to try out new pursuits. These are run to coincide with school holidays.
Now in it’s third season the garden school alongside the bursary is going from strength to strength, the specialist subjects for all are gathering more and more students wishing to further their gardening knowledge. This year we are also incorporating our no charge to learn events such as the sweet peas festival in June which we aim to be an educational as well as beautiful event, you can also experience free willow weaving demonstrations throughout the year so all can come and watch and learn.
We would also like to welcome artists and art groups to come and paint at the nursery should they wish, using the gardens/plants as their subject. Individual and group rates apply.
