Growing Together is really quite unique in how we cater for our customers. Our core service is similar to a local garden centre, but our attention to detail, knowledge, expertise and attitudes towards our customers are very different.

With environmental issues and the ability to be increasingly self-sufficient becoming more apparent, peoples lifestyles are changing, and as we believe, changing for the better. There has been an increasing trend towards self-sufficiency in the UK, with many now taking an interest in keeping chickens, growing their own vegetables and recycling of energy and waste. Growing together has enhanced opportunities for visitors through education and on site inspirational gardens that nurture creativity and self-sufficiency, with very much a ‘good life’ theme.

The main ethos of our family run business is that of garden creation in an environmentally sustainable way. Our site is essentially a small holding providing our family with produce for every day living combined with gardens to inspire our visitors. The nursery focuses on providing an eclectic range of plants that provide form, texture, colour and impact.  A full range of plants are available, our  speciality  herbaceous perennials and many unusual varieties can be found amongst these and the other ranges we offer.  Alongside our range of plants we also offer  a range of courses to help those new to gardening or wishing to further their knowledge. These occur throughout the year  using the gardens as a teaching aid.  Also available are pure breed poultry for those wishing to keep a few hens in their back yard.  These together with the goats and pigs are all on show to see, a great reason to bring along the family
 
We specialise in producing a range of unusual herbaceous perennials/grasses and provide a range of other plants including Fruit and Vegetable plants, ornamental trees, shrubs, climbing plants, unusual annual varieties, bulbs and seeds. Our plant range has been chosen to provide colour, form, texture, and give impact to any garden. We are introducing new products and this year we would like to welcome The Miles Fresher Food Company part of Layer Marney Lamb to our site.  The new Farm Shop as it’s name suggests concentrates on supplying locally produced foods, many sourced from within a 30 mile radius, so you know just how far your food has travelled to get to your plate.  With their abundance of home reared lamb and mutton as well as other  local meats, fish, game, eggs, cheeses, luxury treats and home grown veg and salad we are sure  they will do well and compliment our  environmentally aware ethos.

Garden Design Service
We provide a garden design service for those wishing to improve their gardens, working closely with professional hard landscapers that install our designs up to planting point, where then we come and introduce all plant material supplied by us.

Horticultural Groups
We cater for horticultural groups, giving talks and demonstrations at the nursery during evenings or any time by prior appointment, and supply tea and coffee if requested.

Artists/Art Groups
We are open to visits from artists/art groups that may wish to come and use the nursery/gardens as a subject for painting. There is a charge per person per day for this. Materials will need to be brought along with you, as we do not supply on site.
